Officers

Christine Lundy, President

Christine brings over 15 years of nonprofit experience, with a strong background in fundraising and donor relations. As President, she oversees strategic direction, operations, and community engagement while leading board initiatives and organizational growth. 

Dani Evanson, Treasurer & Secretary

Dani has more than 25 years of real estate experience across finance, acquisitions, asset management, and accounting. She is a principal at Align Finance Partners.


Previously, she was a managing director at Regis Metro Associates, Inc., a real estate investment and management firm with over $700 million in AUM. Prior to working at Regis Metro Associates, Dani managed a $500M real estate portfolio valued at over $2B for a Los Angeles family office. Dani brings extensive financial expertise to support Step Up Housing’s long-term sustainability. 

Board of Directors

Michael Potter, Board Chair

Michael is a principal at Align Finance Partners and managing director of Regis Metro Associates, where he oversees operations, investments, portfolio management, and strategy. Align is a private real estate lender with a primary focus on facilitating loans for affordable housing and tax-exempt private activity bonds.


Michael has over 35 years of experience in real estate acquisitions, finance, and dispositions with an aggregate value of more than $4 billion. He holds a B.A. from UC Berkeley and a J.D. from USC, is a member of the California State Bar and a licensed real estate broker.

Tori Robinson, Director

Tori began her real estate career after graduating from UCLA in 1985, working as an appraiser and mortgage broker before transitioning into title insurance in 1989. She brings decades of experience supporting the successful closing and financing of real estate transactions.


A leader in the industry, Tori is a Past President of CREW Los Angeles and has served in multiple roles with CREW Network, including its Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Task Force and Foundation Champion Director. She was recognized as a CREW Visionary in 2018 for her philanthropic contributions.


Tori is also active in the UCLA Real Estate Alumni Group and serves on the Board of Bringing Hope to the Family USA, supporting vulnerable communities in Uganda. She is passionate about advancing affordable housing and supporting Step Up Housing’s mission.

Heather Brooks, Director

Heather brings over 30 years of experience in education and real estate, with specialized expertise in senior housing. She holds CAPS, SRES®, and SFR® designations.


She helped build eXp Realty’s Seniors Network into one of the largest in the country and is now co-founder of Customized Aging, providing home assessments, education, and resources for aging in place. Heather also co-hosts national educational programs for real estate professionals and families.


Her deep knowledge of senior housing and longevity planning supports Step Up Housing’s efforts to expand affordable housing and services for aging populations.

Julie Martin, Director

Julie has over 25 years of experience managing commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, and refinancing. Known for her strong organizational and analytical skills, she has consistently delivered successful outcomes.


She spent more than a decade at JH Snyder Development Company, serving in both closing management and human resources roles. Julie is passionate about addressing challenges in affordable housing and is proud to support Step Up Housing’s mission.

Ben Durham, Director

Ben brings 30 years of commercial real estate experience and has been a partner at HC&M, a leading San Francisco brokerage, since 2009. His expertise in large-scale transactions and strong industry relationships provide valuable insight to Step Up Housing.


He is committed to supporting the organization’s mission to expand affordable housing.

Chris Kearney, Director

Chris has over 35 years of legal experience and is a retired litigation partner from Keker Van Nest & Peters. He served as Managing Partner for 15 years and specialized in complex civil and criminal litigation. Chris has a deep background in public accounting.


A multiple-time Super Lawyer honoree, Chris also served as President of the Bar Association of San Francisco, where he launched a pro bono initiative for low-income residents. His legal and leadership experience strengthens Step Up Housing’s governance and impact.
